The NFL has released its official app for Super Bowl XLVI. The app provides fans attending Sunday’s upcoming contest between the New England Patriots and New York Giants a guide to Lucas Oil Stadium and the surrounding areas of Indianapolis (Free iOS App Store, Free Android Market). The app provide viewers with a virtual 3D view of the stadium as well as a guide to nightlife and official NFL events.
It links to Yelp for restaurant locations and reviews. To help getting to and from the stadium, the app will show road restrictions. Once inside the stadium, the app can help guide ticket holders to their seats. On game day, Tweets will also be available. The app features “NFL Huddle,” which takes Twitter trending topics and will create some consolidated infographics.
