Having recently resurrected the wonderful arcade classic NBA Jam, Electronic Arts is breathing life into another popular sports series: NFL Blitz.
A high-definition version of the football title originally available in arcades has debuted on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live as a digital download. It costs $14.99.
Blitz features over-the-top, 7-on-7 football games complete with jarring hits and crazy celebrations. All 32 NFL teams are represented.
The main mode is called Blitz Gauntlet, and has players battling against all NFL squads. There’s also the online Blitz Battles mode and an Elite League where players can create dream teams by snagging collectible cards.
Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice will grace the digital cover of the game.
