New iOS App Can Listen to a TV Show and Identify It

Ever wanted to know what a TV show and you knew the guide was wrong, well there is now an app for that. IntoNow is many many Shazam (the app that listens to the song that’s playing and identifies it for you) for TV shows.

The iOS app will identify the show and the episode from your television, computer or mobile device as long it ran on TV in the past five years (I guess if ran before then, it would be classified as IntoThen?). It also supplies full episode and cast details, info on future airings, and one-click access to IMDb, Netflix, and iTunes. After the app has identified the TV show, you can easily share what you’re viewing on Facebook or Twitter.

IntoNow is intended to help you connect and interact with your friends about your favorite TV shows and discover new ones. You can add friends using Facebook, Twitter, your address book, or “search by name,” so you see what your friends are watching. Then you can compare which shows you have in common and even receive notifications when a friend is watching the same show as you at the same time. With IntoNow, you can discuss shows with your friends and make comments within the app or on Facebook or Twitter about what your friends are watching.

If you love TV shows and want another way to share you favs, discover new shows, and comment on your friends show selections, you can get IntoNow for free in the App Store for your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch (iOS 3.2 or later).
