New “Digital Scorecard” for Sporting Clays Hits iPhone

ClayTracker is the first hand-held, mobile application designed to allow clay target shooters to score their rounds, track percentages, and review their history with touch screen simplicity.

“Scoring for clay target sports hasn’t changed in 100 years,” said Tom Carter, president of EXPOGO, Inc., the company that developed the program.

Other than scores recorded in registered shoots, the only option until now has been paper scorecards, but they don’t provide a convenient way for shooters to monitor their progress or store their stats for later review. “The iPhone is an ideal scoring device since it allows the trapper to launch targets with the remote in one hand while keeping score on the iPhone with the other,” Carter said.

Version 1.0 is just the beginning. “We are already developing scoring for Skeet, Trap, and FITASC, plus many additional features that will be available as free upgrades when released,” he said.

ClayTracker for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now available worldwide on the iTunes App Store for $19.99
