The Weinstein Company have launched a site for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and are delivering a new 60-second clip from the movie in the process. Click below to watch the footage.
This collection of cuts, features the distinctive sound of Ennio Morricone’s ‘The Ecstasy of Gold’. It reflects historic Westerns like The Good, The Bad And The Ugly and then gives way to the movie’s funky musical motif, James Brown’s ‘The Payback’ .
Set in the cotton fields of the 1800s Deep South, the film features the story of Django (Jamie Foxx) is a freed slave who teams up with Christoph Waltz’s bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz to kill a bunch of bad guys, free his wife (Kerry Washington) and generally put the world to bloody rights. Although not, it seems, if Leonardo DiCaprio’s oily plantation owner, Calvin Candie, has any say in the matter.
Release is set for Merry Christmas, on Dec. 25 in the US and for January 18 in the UK.
