Nevercenter Releases Camerabag 2 Photo Software

Utilizing advanced curve editors and layer-able photo effects, CameraBag 2 for Mac and Windows is a re-designed desktop “sequel” to the popular iOS app that offers a new Analog Engine, up to ten times as many tools and filters specializing in vintage simulations and support for RAW as well as JPG images. Styles created by combining tools and looks can be saved as their own adjustable filter for consistent re-use, and the program offers a quick way to sample various looks.

The adjustments are done non-destructively to the image, and take a different workflow path from most photo-adjustment apps in that users load up an image, scroll through a variety of styles, choose and then can further tweak the image rather than polishing the image first and applying the look at the end of the process. The apps sports 100 fully-adjustable filters and 25 professional controls. For example, vignettes can be shaped with brightness points established on any part of the image rather than strictly in the center.

Camerabag supports photos up to 32bits in color depth, and allows easy layering of effects and a Remix slider to quickly show variations. It also sports metadata support and batch saving of completed images. Because filter combinations are exportable as their own files, they are easy to share online with other Camerabag users on either the mobile or desktop versions.

A free 30-day demo of the finished program is available for download from the Nevercenter website. For a limited time, the app is on sale for $5 off its usual $29 price, and $10 off the price on the Mac App Store. Camerabag requires OS X 10.6.6 or higher and a 64-bit Intel processor.
