miley-cyrus-vmas2Miley Cyrus hosted the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 30, and leave it to the twerking queen to drop the biggest surprise of the night — Cyrus announced that she just dropped a new album.

Closing out the show with an unannounced performance, Cyrus, along with a slew of drag queen dancers, sang and danced to a song from her new album. As balloons fell down on the stage, Cyrus yelled into the mic, “My new album, ‘Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz,’ is online for free right now.”

The follow-up to 2013’s “Bangerz,” her new release is a 23-track collaborative album with the Flaming Lips, Big Sean, Ariel Pink and other artists. Cyrus performed with Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, who wrote and produced much of the album, at the show.

Also during the show, held at the Microsoft Theater in Downton Los Angeles, Cyrus flashed the audience, exposing her breasts, during a live behind-the-scenes video, filmed backstage. During the intentional moment, Cyrus quickly stepped out from behind a black curtain, saying, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, are my t-ts out?’”

The camera quickly panned away.

No stranger to headline-baring gags, Cyrus dropped more than a few F-bombs and playfully sprinkled in many jabs to famous audience members at the show, including Nicki Minaj, Kylie Jenner, Hailee Steinfeld and Kim Kardashian West’s lady parts, though she did say she’s a big fan of Kanye West’s wife.

Tonight, Cyrus reminded the crowd that the VMAs haven’t had a host in two years. Predicting her antics in the first act of the live show, she quipped, “a tradition they’ll probably return to immediately after tonight’s show.”
