A few days before its October 12 release, Microsoft released the initial list of Xbox 360 games that will be playable on the Xbox One with the help of backwards compatibility. The feature was initially announced in June at E3, and works by either the original Xbox 360 game disc or through a digital download of the game.

The list features 104 games, including past popular titles such as the Gears of Warseries, the original Mass Effect, and Fallout 3 (although it’s highly unlikely you’re playingFallout 3 anytime soon). However, there are a few notable omissions from the list, such as Mass Effect 2 and 3, Red Dead Redemption, or any of the old Need for Speed titles.

Starting in December, more Xbox 360 titles will join the group, including Halo Reach: Skate 3; and Bioshock1, 2, and 3. As for the actual release dates for future backwards compatibility titles, Xbox didn’t announce specific dates.
