An expanded version of the original, Metroidvania-inspired title Giga Wrecker from Game Freak Studios hits consoles later in 2019 with Giga Wrecker Alt.

A 2D action-adventure platformer, Giga Wrecker first made its debut on PC in 2017. Players took charge of Reika Rekkeiji, a teenage girl on Earth, which has been pretty much destroyed by powerful robots.

Defeating bosses and finding cybernetics enabled players to learn new attacks and new navigation methods, opening up Giga Wrecker even more.

Giga Wrecker Alt will be adding new puzzle stages, 20 more in fact, that contain hidden sub-events that can result in a different ending.

For those looking for more challenge, there’s the new Ironman mode,

Simply put, the enemies are much stronger and…players will be able to enjoy the challenge of a really tough fight against the bosses. That being said, in terms of the puzzles, we’ve ensured that the balance of thinking about the solution and solving them and playing the game is maintained.

If combat is more your thing, Giga Wrecker Alt also offers a new companion that will aid you in puzzle solving with hints and solutions. Giga Wrecker Alt will release digitally on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on the same day, with further details to come. Giga Wrecker Alt will also see a physical release PS4 and Switch via a partnership with Limited Run Games.
