Manpower power, one of the larger worldwide employment and temporary staffing agencies, has refreshed its initial iOS app and introduced a new iPad-only offering, with more on the way to connect potential employees to potential employers more directly using mobile technologies. Applying for jobs and connecting with job candidates can be made more directly, either through Manpower offices or directly via the net.
The company’s current app, the free Find Jobs has been updated to v1.3 and is aimed at job seekers, providing location-based listings of open positions and the ability to search other areas across North America. Users can also search by title or keyword, and save searches to a “Job Agent” that alerts uses to updates automatically. It can also display maps and contact information for the nearest Manpower office. Version 1.3 adds the ability to search by job type (permanent, temporary or contract), auto-applying for jobs by linking to a LinkedIn profile, saving jobs as “favorites” and including French language support.
New iPad App
Manpower has also added an free iPad-only app called World of Work Insights aimed at managers and executives, offering access to a library of research reports on industry trends and issues affecting employment in the global economy. Publications can be downloaded to the built-in library for offline reading, and includes the company’s bulletins and economic forecasts for the labor market.
Find Jobs requires iOS 3.0, while World of Work Insights requires iOS 3.2. A profile and resume on LinkedIn is not required but recommended.
