Lufthansa will soon have onboard Internet for international flights departing from New York, Detroit and Atlanta into Frankfurt. The wireless internet expected to be fast enough to connect to a VPN and send large attachments. However, it is not clear exactly how much bandwidth each passenger will have access to.
Passengers will also have access to Lufthansa’s new Cloudstream service as well. This allows passengers to browse the net prior to departure allowing them to cache favorite sites for later offline viewing.
