Watros Young Restless featureCynthia Watros (Lost) will make her official return to the soap world Nov. 15 when she appears in her first episode of The Young and the Restless on CBS as Kelly, a school teacher whose son was hit and killed by a car. She meets Billy in a support group for parents.

The actress, who played Libby on the ABC drama Lost, began her career in daytime on The Guiding Light as Annie Dutton Banks. She admitted to EW that a lot has changed in daytime since she starred on the CBS sudser that earned her a Daytime Emmy. “It’s even faster. You have to make choices really quickly,” said Watros. “We used to go in big rehearsal rooms, or we’d participate in big balls and weddings. Everything’s gotten a lot quicker, and there are fewer big events!

“I loved my time on Guiding Light,” she continued. “I loved Annie, being this vixen. It was a wonderful thing to start off with.”
