Disney•Pixar’s latest short film, Lava, which will screen before the feature when it hits theaters next summer. Today we have the first clip from Lava.
An entirely musical short, Lava was directed by Jim Murphy, who was inspired to create a song that would give people the same feeling he got the first time he heard Israel “Iz” Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The original tune is set against the tale of a very lonely volcano who wishes he had “someone to lava.”
Lava arrives June 19, 2015 when it and Inside Out land in theaters.
