Logitech has released a wireless trackball today with adding the Wireless Trackball M570. It has quick access to back/forward buttons like modern mice. Logitech has opted to go with its 2.4GHz Unifying receiver and so can put a keyboard on the single USB adapter.
Since the trackball doesn’t have to power the sensor as often, the M570 can last as much as 18 months on a single AA battery; notebook owners can tuck the receiver away inside the mouse itself to save power. The peripheral has full support for both Macs and Windows PCs.
The company plans to ship the new trackball by the end of September for $60.
