LG’s New Optimus 7-Series WP7 Phones

Optimus 7 – Quantum (Optimus 7Q)

LG  today  displayed two new  Optimus 7-series smartphones. First up is the Quantum for AT&T, which will be known as the Optimus 7Q in non-US markets. The other is the Optimus 7 and has now been confirmed to arrive at Telus in Canada, America Movil in Mexico, Movistar and Vodafone in Europe and SingTel in Singapore.

The Quantum (Optimus 7Q) specs include 16GB of built-in storage space, a five-megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p videos, a 3.5-inch, 800×480 touchscreen and a 1GHz Snapdragon chip. It has a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard as well and will support quad-band EDGE and tri-band HSPA bands.

The Optimus 7 has a 3.8-inch 800×480 touchscreen and is just 11.5mm thick. It shares the Quantum’s 5-megapixel camera and 1GHz CPU. Either will also support Play To, a DLNA-streaming feature from supported TVs, set-tops and related hardware.

The two handsets begin shipping on October 21 outside the US.     AT&T will have the Quantum  for $199.99  on two year contract price.   It wil be in ST&T stores for the November 8 debut of Windows Phone 7 in the US.
