Lenovo is about to enter the fray in the same market that the MacBook Air and Dell Adamo currently fight in – for a customer who wants an ultra-light weight notebook with long battery life, with the release of the IdeaPad U350.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U350 features a 13.3-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 HD resolution, Intel Core 2 solo SU3500 /SU2700 / Intel Celeron 723 CPUS Intel GMA 4500M / Intel GMA 4500MHDMemory graphics cards, up to 8GB DDR3, up to 500GB HDD at 5400 rpm, Intel WiFi Link 5100 1 X 2 AGN, Ethernet 10/100/1000m/Intel WiFi Link 5150 1 X 2 AGN, non-Intel wireless b/g/, Bluetooth, 1.3-megapixel camera, and Ambient Light Sensor.
It measures 328 x 228 x 17-24.9 mm, weighs 1.6kg, comes with 5-hour 4-cell / 10-hour 8-cell battery, a VGA port, a 4-in-1 media card reader, and with Windows Vista Home Basic / Home Premium OS. The notebook has a starting price of $650, a full loaded unit will be in the $800 range. The Lenovo U350 will be available in the US in July.
