Once The LEGO Movie debuted to critical acclaim and surprising commercial success Warner Bros. decided to double down on the building toys as a film franchise. Since then a number of LEGO films have been announced and set for release including The LEGO Batman Movie, The LEGO Movie Sequel, and The Billion Brick Race. Another LEGO movie was also put in development, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, based on one of the popular lines from the toys themselves, which itself has already spawned a TV series on Cartoon Network. Few details have been revealed about the film but we now know who we can expect to hear in the film when it debuts.

Brickset (via SlashFilm) discovered the voice cast for the film at the Licensing Expo and revealed that it includes Jackie Chan as Master Wu, Dave Franco as Lloyd, Michael Peña as Kai, Abbi Jacobson as Nya, Kumail Nanjiani as Jay, Zach Woods as Zane, and Fred Armisen as Cole.

An official description of the film was also revealed, which reads: “Inspired by the wildly popular LEGO line of toys, Ninjago is the story of six young ninja tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors, using their skills and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy: high school.”

The LEGO Ninjago Movie will be directed by Charlie Bean (Tron: Uprising, Robotboy) and written by Ninjago: Mastes of Spinjitsu scribes Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman. The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will produce with Roy Lee and Dan Lin. Look for the film to debut in theaters September 22, 2017.

The LEGO Batman Movie will be the next LEGO movie to hit theaters, featuring Will Arnett in the title role, which will be released on February 10, 2017. The Lego Movie Sequel, directed by Rob Schrab (Community), will  be released on February 8, 2019. The Billion Brick Race, set to be written by Jason Segel (The Muppets, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3), was originally set for a May 24, 2019 though it remains to be seen if it will hold onto that date.
