Kia has given its new hybrid crossover a price tag.  The 2017 Niro will start at $23,785, which includes a $895 shipping charge, for the base FE trim. Standard features on the FE trim include keyless entry, a 7-inch touch-screen display and a rearview camera.

Other trim options on the Niro include the LX, which starts at $24,095, EX, which starts at $26,595, and the top-of-the-line Touring, which starts at $30,545. All prices include shipping.

Standard features on the Touring model include front and rear park assist, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

There also will be a Launch Edition available for the 2017 model year, in either Snow White Pearl or Aurora Black Pearl. The Launch Edition rides on Hyper Gray 18-inch wheels and has a unique metallic color grille, Kia said. The limited edition model starts at $28,895, including shipping.

The Niro is built on the same platform as Hyundai’s Ioniq hybrid. The front-wheel-drive Niro is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor for a total of 139 hp and 195 pounds-feet of torque, Kia said.

The EPA rates the Niro FE at 50 mpg combined, while the Touring trim dips to 43 mpg combined.
