She has already joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX, now actress Keri Russell (The Americans) is in negotiations to team with producer Guillermo del Toro on the supernatural horror thriller Antlers at Fox Searchlight.
Should it go through, Russell would star as a teacher who takes an interest in a mysterious and withdrawn student. Only too late does she discover that the boy is harboring a deadly secret that is key to their town’s survival.
Nick Antosca and Henry Chaisson wrote the script, David Goyer and Miles Dale will also produce and Scott Cooper (“Black Mass,” “Crazy Heart”) is on board to direct. Filming aims to begin this Fall in Vancouver.
