Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander will grace the cover of baseball simulation Major League Baseball 2K12.
Publisher 2K Sports made the announcement at Thursday’s 2011 MLB Players Choice Awards.
“I’ve worked closely with 2K Sports on the MLB 2K series since 2007, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue my relationship with such a great baseball game,” Verlander said in a statement.
The Tigers pitcher is coming off a career year, finishing with a 24-5 record and the third-lowest ERA in the major leagues.
2K’s Major League Baseball game usually launches around March.
