Jobs heard the people at press conferences and events. The iPhone will be coming to Verizon network beginning on Thursday, February 10

“Verizon Wireless customers have told us they can’t wait to get their hands on iPhone 4, and we think they are going to love it,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s chief operating officer

Existing Verizon Wireless customers who qualify will have the exclusive opportunity to pre-order the iPhone 4 online beginning February 3.  The suggested retail price for a 16GB model is $199.99 and $299.99 for the 32GB model with a new two year agreement.

Hotspot Too

The new Personal Hotspot feature is found in the native Settings application on the iPhone, between settings for Wi-Fi and Notifications.

Selecting Personal Hotspot allows users to turn the feature on and share their iPhone’s 3G Internet connection via Wi-Fi. It notes that “additional usage charges may apply.”

Users can also set a custom password for their local Wi-Fi network. Verizon said the iPhone will be able to share its Internet connection with up to five devices.  Personal Hotspot also works with Bluetooth

It is unknown at this  whether iOS 4.2.5 is exclusive to the CDMA Verizon iPhone, or if Apple will issue an update in the future to bring the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality to current iPhones on other carriers like AT&T. Verizon also did not announce pricing details for the tethering functionality.
