iOS 10 Won’t Run on Older iPhones and iPads

AppleiPhones and iPads has indicated which iPhones and iPads will be able to run the newest version of iOS, and as always older devices are left out.

iOS 10 is compatible with all versions of the iPhone from the 2012 iPhone 5 through the 2016 iPhone SE. The iPhone 4S and older models will not be able to run iOS 10.

Similarly, iOS 10 will run on all models of the iPad from the 2013 iPad 2 Mini through the 2016 iPad Pro 9.7. The original iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, and original iPad Mini will not be able to run iOS 10.

Only the sixth-generation iPod is compatible with iOS 10. iOS 10 will be available to the public in beta form starting in July, with the full release expected in September.
