Sharp today announced that it will bring its glasses-free, auto-stereoscopic display equipped Android-based smartphones to the US in 2011. Two of the ¬†phones, the ¬†Galapagos 003SH and 005SH were recently introduced in Japan on the Softbank network. Both devices run Android 2.2 and offer 3.8-inch displays at a resolution of 800×400.

The phones included a 1GHz Snapdragon  processor, include Wi-Fi 802.11n and assisted GPS. The candy bar form factor 003SH includes a higher spec 9.6-megapixel camera and shoots video at 720p.
