Here’s The Creepy New Trailers From The Resident Evil 2 Remake For PS4

After more than 20 years, Resident Evil 2 is back for gamers to savor once again. The iconic horror sequel has been in development for almost three years with nary a word from Capcom about its progress – until now. At Sony’s E3 presentation, the company debuted the first trailer for the shiny, new, 4K remaster of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield’s run through Raccoon City.

While this first trailer isn’t game play footage, it’s all being rendered by the game – a departure from the original game’s painted 2D backdrops and 3D movement.

Capcom and Sony cursed its fans with two terrifying trailers – the second one with actual gameplay:

With the new over-the-shoulder, third-person camera mode, the game looks to depart from the classic-yet-clunky controls of the original RE games and towards the more modern entries in the franchise. And with the new graphics put to work on the blood, guts, and gore – not to mention the new bloodcurdling audio – the game looks to be just as scary as the original.

The remake is due to be out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019.
