Hammacher Schlemmer Selling Marble Sized Camera

Hammacher Schlemmer has announced what it claims to be the world’s smallest camera. The digital imaging device, going precisely by the The World’s Smallest Camera name, has a footprint slightly larger than a one-inch cube. Nestled inside is a two-megapixel sensor that captures images with a two-megapixel 1600×1200 resolution, or 640×480 videos at 30 frames per second.

The camera saves the images as JPEGs or videos as AVIs onto a removable microSDHC card, up to 32GB in capacity. Focusing is automatic or manual in spite of the small size. A USB cable not only allows direct photo sync but can power the camera, charging the rechargeable battery in about an hour. A full charge will fuel about 30 minutes of continuous shooting.

The camera, priced at $100, comes with 2GB microSD card. It ships now from Hammacher Schlemmer’s page.
