Google on Friday sent out an invitation to the press for a special Chrome-related event in San Francisco on December 7. It provided no special details other than that there would be “exciting news.”
While not mentioned, the event is almost certain to focus on Chrome OS, the Chrome Web Store or both. Google has already released Chrome 8 web browser with underlying support for the Web Store when it goes live, which should be the same day.
