Google has just released Google Offers as a new discrete mobile free Android app. The choice lets an Android owner get daily and localized deal notifications pushed out to them without having to use a more generalized or limited app like Shopper or Wallet. They can also use the app to organize and redeem deals directly.
Google initially had integrated map-based offers into its Google Shopper app last July. This enabled phone users to search out deals based on their geographic location. The new, dedicated app enables a user to have the deal proactively sent out to them, much as if they were receiving the information in an email.
Google asks iPhone users to “stay tuned” for an equivalent app, but hasn’t disclosed a release date.
