Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 3G Radio at FCC for Testing

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 with a 3G radio onboard has been spotted undergoing FCC testing, following a similar feat with the Wi-Fi version. The listing indicates the device may be coming to the US soon, though it is not yet confirmed. The only and main difference between the Wi-Fi version is the addition of the HSPA+ 3G radio.

Otherwise, the same Super AMOLED Plus display with a 1280×800 resolution is intact, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It runs on Android 3.2 and gets a dual-core, 1.4GHz processor. Claimed battery life is 10 hours of video playback, longer than usual for small tablets, even as the device stays 0.31 inches thick.

The 3G version would be subsidized by carriers if or when it arrives in North America, possibly making it less costly initially than the Wi-Fi version.
