Free Cases or Refunds to Fix iPhone 4

Posted by at 10:41 am on July 16, 2010

Apple CEO Steve Jobs today announced that the company is going to give out free cases to customers. The offer applies to anyone buying an iPhone through September 30th, and anyone who has bought one of the official Apple Bumper cases is eligible for a refund. Because it can’t make enough Bumpers on its own, Apple says it will be outsourcing other cases to meet demand. People can apply for a case at Apple’s website beginning late next week.

Jobs says the company will also be giving full refunds for undamaged iPhone 4s within 30 days of purchase. No restocking penalty fees should apply. During the Q&A session, Jobs said the refunds should also apply to AT&T contracts.
