FileMaker  has released FileMaker Go, in the form of separate iPhone and iPad apps. Users can update FileMaker Pro and Server databases over local or remote networks, using either Wi-Fi or 3G connections. Databases can alternately be transferred using iTunes File Sharing, e-mail or the web, including filesharing sites.

There are limits such as: people cannot edit schema, layouts or scripts using Go, and some scripts are not supported. Only v. 10 and v. 11 databases hosted by Pro, Pro Advanced, Server or Server Advanced have been tested for remote viewing.

The iPhone version of the app is $20, and requires iOS 4; the iPad version is $40, and relies on iOS 3.2
