D3 Publisher has  released the highly anticipated third-person shooter,  Earth Defense Force. The latest game in the series features giant invading insects and only the EDF can squash the towering invaders.

With more than 300 different bug busting weapons, mechs, and destructible environments to boot, EDF: Insect Armageddon is like the perfect summer blockbuster that isn’t playing in theatres right now, with the exception of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

There is a four-player cooperative feature to ensure that gamers can defend the Earth with a few pals in online or in offline co-op.

Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3P had a few comments to share about the release of the game in the press release, saying…

“Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon follows the rich tradition of Earth Defense Force 2017 but this time features over 300 weapons, four upgradeable choices of armor, improved graphics, fully destructible environments, and online play for the first time in the series to make this the best EDF experience yet.”

The game is available for only $39.99 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, which is pretty much a steal considering the amount of content and playability you get. You can learn more about D3’s Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon by heading on over to the Official Website.
