Dropbox today said it has decided to shut down its Mailbox and Carousel apps in 2016.
Mailbox is a popular third-party email application and Carousel is a tool for organizing photos. Dropbox said it will move some features from Mailbox and Carousel to its main Dropbox cloud storage service, but it didn’t say in what form. Mailbox will be shut down on Feb. 26 and Carousel will be shut down on March 31.
Dropbox has published details specific to each service to help users transition to other email and photo-management applications.
