At Anime Expo, Aksys Games announced the North American release of PS Vita exclusive Drive Girls (which launched in Europe on May 26th) by Bersala Lightweight. Today they announced that the game, which was initially supposed to be released August 11th, has slipped by a month and will be available on September 8th instead.

They also released a trailer, showing the title’s peculiar flavor of transformable cars meet girls, that is a very popular trope in Japan due to franchises like Kantai Collection and Strike Witches. Of course the game comes with plenty of fanservice, with destructible armor and alluring glances.

The game includes five different characters/cars fighting against bug-like enemies to defend the their base of Sun Island, with both arcade driving and hack ‘n’ slash mechanics. On top of that, there are both a single player campaigns, four-player local mode and online multiplayer.
