At the ISE show in Amsterdam this week, Mitsubishi showed off a curved Diamond Vision OLED display. The prototype TV has an extra-wide 1920×256 resolution, a pixel pitch of 3mm and an 80-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle. The display is made up of modules, with each sporting a 128×128-pixel grid.
Other specs include a pixel density of 111,111 pixels per square meter and a maximum brightness of 1,200cd/m². The high brightness, which is often difficult for OLEDs, makes it ideal for use in shopping malls or airport terminals where there are large amounts of ambient light.
The display is planned to be introduced into the commercial market over the course of the next few months.
