Dell today updated its ST and IN series displays with five new models previously unavailable in the US.
The 22-inch ST2220, 23-inch ST2320 and 24-inch ST2420 all produce a 1080p picture and have LED backlighting that drives up their dynamic contrast ratios to as much as 8,000,000:1. All have with touch-sensitive controls on the bezel.
Each displays has at least DVI and VGA; all but the 22-inch ST screen have HDMI inputs along with speaker bars that can take audio from the HDMI port. The price spead has narrowed. Dell charges $199 for the smallest screen and just $259 for the 24-inch flagship. All of the displays should be available today.
The IN series occupies the very entry level. Both the IN2020 and IN2020M (pictured above) produce a 1600×900 image on their 20-inch screens and are limited to just one video input each, although they both manage the 8,000,000:1 contrast. The basic LCD has only VGA input, while the M sports the more modern DVI. Dell hasn’t given out their pricing other than to put them below the new ST displays.
