CTIA Reveals Hot Holiday Finalists

CTIA has announced the finalists in the annual CTIA Hot for the Holidays awards program, which honors the most innovative and cutting-edge mobile consumer electronics products and applications for this holiday season. A panel of mobile CE media and analysts judged entries and selected finalists based on innovation, functionality, creativity and “hotness.”

CTIA Hot for the Holidays awards winners will be announced at CTIA Enterprise & Applications 2010, which takes place in San Francisco at Moscone Center West, October 6-8; partner conferences begin on October 5. One winner will be selected from each category and recognized on Thursday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. PDT during a ceremony on the Innovations Stage, located on Level 2 of the convention center.

Fashionista

“Mobile consumer electronics top everyone’s wish list this holiday season,” said Robert Mesirow, CTIA vice president and show director. “We’ve seen an increase of more than 100 percent in product submissions over last year’s inaugural awards program. Consumer interest and demand for the latest mobile gadgets and applications continues to grow at a rapid pace.”

The public also has the chance to vote for their favorite products, and ultimately the “CTIA 2010 Hottest Web Pick,” online at www.ctiashow.com/awards. Additionally, show attendees in San Francisco will choose “CTIA 2010 Hottest in Show,” the showcase entry that earns the most text votes onsite at the event.
