Like all Cricket services, these offerings will be available without a signed contract or credit check and feature unlimited talk, U.S. long distance, access to Cricket’s premium extended coverage, and text, picture messaging and global text messaging. The $45 plan has all the unlimited features of the $40 plan plus unlimited mobile Web and 411 directory assistance. The new nationwide service plans are inclusive of telecom taxes and fees and include voicemail, call waiting, caller ID and three-way calling over Cricket’s 3G EVDO network. Cricket PAYGo top-up cards will be also available at select Target Corporation locations.

“We are very delighted to bring our unique Cricket PAYGo products to nearly 650 Target stores in our Cricket markets,” said Al Moschner, Cricket’s chief operating officer. “Millions of people have come to regard Target as a leader in national retail and we are happy to be able to introduce Target Corporation guests to Cricket products that have industry-leading price and value and are simple to understand and use.”

In addition to the service plans, two Cricket phones will also be available at Target Corporation. They include the Cricket TX 8 (pronounced: text mate) which is built for text and picture messaging, and is ideal for staying connected with friends and family through social networks and Mobile Web. The TX 8 also features Cricket MyHomeScreen providing access to news, sports, entertainment and weather. A vertical slide opens to reveal a QWERTY keypad beneath the 2.2″ TFT color display. The phone also features a 1.3MP camera with zoom, an MP3 player, microSD memory card slot, voice recognition, and stereo Bluetooth, as well as tri-band connectivity and is available at Target Corporation for $89.99.
