We’re not sure what’s bringing these two together, but on a cover for a Marvel Comics issue in January 2016, Thor and Captain America are kissing.
The cover, Marvel Comics confirmed, is for All-New, All-Different Avengers #4 as painted by Alex Ross. The pair share billing in the series, a new Avengers comic book that’s launching alongside a slew of other Marvel Comics #1s over the course of the next six months or so, establishing a new status quo for the Marvel Universe after the events of Secret Wars.
But on this new cover posted to twitter by Marvel.com editor Ben Morse, they’ve gotten a lot closer, sharing a mid-flight kiss. His caption: “January 2016: Earth’s Mightiest Kiss.” Check out the full cover below and look to the pages of that comic for more on this budding relationship.
