Boingo Wireless has announced that Best Buy has added Boingo Wi-Fi to PC App, Best Buy’s online software shop for Windows-based computers.

The Boingo Wi-Fi app provides laptops and netbooks easy access to high-speed Wi-Fi at more than 260,000 hotspots around the world. The app proactively notifies users when they are in a Boingo hotspot and logs in to the Boingo network with a single click.

“By including Boingo Wi-Fi in PC App, Best Buy is giving customers convenient access to high-speed Internet at thousands of airports, hotels, restaurants and cafes globally,” said Colby Goff, senior vice president of strategy and business development for Boingo Wireless.

“Best Buy recognizes the great user experience we’ve created by stitching together hundreds of Wi-FI networks into a single, seamless offering that is easily accessible with a single click from the Boingo Wi-Fi app and sees the value in presenting that to their customers,” said Jim Hamm, director of account management for Boingo Wireless.

Best Buy PC App is preinstalled on select laptops and netbooks, and is available for download on PCs running Windows 7, Vista or XP. The online store, which offers an array of free and for-pay software, enables PC owners to personalize their computers with the programs, games and services of their choice. Additionally, Best Buy offers exclusive deals and safe software storage through PC App.

After installing Boingo from the Best Buy PC App, customers can choose from a variety of Wi-Fi access offerings, including a day pass for $7.95, a monthly subscription in the Americas for $9.95, and a monthly global subscription for $59.
