Video games coming on multiple discs used be cool but now it is out of favor.
Players tend to get up in arms when they find out that due to the amount of data an Xbox 360 disc can hold, games like Mass Effect 2 had two discs, LA Noire had three, and Final Fantasy XIII had 4.

DICE‘s upcoming mega blockbuster military fragfest, Battlefield 3, is being rumored to appear on TWO discs on the Xbox 360
Bethesda has managed to cram Skyrim onto one disc, but apparently DICE can’t fit all the epic firepower of Battlefield 3 onto anything less than two discs. Then again, we haven’t seen the Skyrim update to one disc to see if the quality of looks and play are a hit.
