Apple’s special Steve Jobs tribute page has begun showing a continuous scroll of some of the email sent to rememberingsteve@apple.com. “Over a million people from all over the world have shared their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Steve,” a new introduction reads. “One thing they all have in common — from personal friends to colleagues to owners of Apple products — is how they’ve been touched by his passion and creativity.”
The timing of the page update is not coincidental, as Apple is today scheduled to hold an internal memorial event at its Cupertino campus at about 10AM Pacific, or 1PM Eastern. The company is rumored to be closing its retail stores for an hour in parallel with the ceremony. This should give workers not only a break but a chance to watch the event via live broadcast.
