Spanish-born Antonio Banderas has been tapped to play Pablo Picasso in the second season of Genius at National Geographic Network.
This season of the anthology series chronicles the life and work of the Spanish painter. It follows on from a first season starring Geoffrey Rush as Albert Einstein which was watched by over 45 million viewers globally and nominated for ten Emmys.
Fox 21 Television Studios will produce the new season which is set for a 2018 premiere. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard again will executive produce with Ken Biller serving as showrunner.
