Android Pay Adds 19 New Financial Institutions in the United States

Android PayGoogle’s mobile payments solution is continuing to expand to new banks and credit unions. Today, Google has updated its Android Pay website to reveal that 19 new banks and credit unions in the United States now support the service.

 

The rollout to 19 new banks and credit unions today in the United States comes following Android Pay’s expansion to Australia, which followed last month’s launch in Singapore.

Today’s 19 new banks and credit unions can be seen below:

  1. 1st Advantage FCU
  2. ACU of Texas
  3. Alpine Credit Union
  4. Alternatives federal credit union
  5. Bank of the Ozarks
  6. Cambridge Savings Bank
  7. Crane CU
  8. Fairfax County FCU
  9. First Community Bank
  10. First Sentry Bank
  11. First Tech Federal Credit Union
  12. Heritage Federal Credit Union
  13. IH Mississippi
  14. Mercantile Bank of Michigan
  15. Mill City Credit Union
  16. ORNL
  17. Railroad & Industrial FCU
  18. Union State Bank of Fargo
  19. Valley Federal Credit Union

One notable Android Pay holdout in the United Kingdom has been Barclays, which actually launched its competitor to the service earlier last month. In Australia, Westpac customers are still waiting for the service to launch, as ANZ is currently the only supporter of Android Pay.
