Amazon has expanded its all-you-can-eat e-book subscription service to the United Kingdom, just two months after the retailer’s original United States launch. Kindle Unlimited offers book readers over 650,000 titles and thousands of audiobooks to read and listen to, with the UK subscription priced at £7.99 ($13) per month accompanied by a 30-day trial.

Despite having slightly fewer books and a higher subscription price compared to its US counterpart, it operates in relatively the same way. Subscribers can load up books via Kindle e-readers and tablets, as well as the Kindle app, with eligible books showing up in the Amazon store with the Kindle Unlimited logo and a “Read for £0.00” button underneath the Buy Now option.

The UK service does ultimately suffer from the same primary range issue as the US version, in that a number of large publishers are still notably missing, though the vastness of the library should counter this. Some popular titles do make an appearance, including the Hunger Games and Harry Potter books, with a number also having a synchronized audiobook version provided by Audible.
