Toshiba has launched its LT170 budget Android tablet in Italy, with the specs shared by NotebookItalia. It uses a 1GHz Freescale CPU, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of integrated storage space. For expansion, there is a microSD card slot.
The rechargeable Lithium Ion battery is said to provide up to seven hours of video playback. A 0.3-megapixel camera faces the user, while a two-megapixel camera faces away. The tablet includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 for wireless.
Toshiba offers its own Toshiba Places cloud service for music, videos on demand, games, and more, though the contents differ by country.
The device will arrive in blue in Italy late in March, priced at 299 euros (nearly $400) with tax included. A US release isn’t yet known, but may arrive soon thereafter if Toshiba doesn’t instead opt for the quad-core AT270 instead.
