The First Strike map pack for Black Ops launches tomorrow on the Xbox 360 for 1,200 Microsoft Points. The release of the paid DLC will be followed by a Black Ops double-XP weekend.

Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb made the double-XP weekend announcement via a podcast on his blog, and Treyarch Community Manager Josh Olin.

First Strike includes four new multiplayer maps and a new Zombie mode map, Ascension.

Multiplayer Maps

  • Discovery — Set in the German’s abandoned Antarctic research station from the single-player campaign.
  • Kowloon — Shoot it out on the rainy rooftops of Kowloon City, inspired by the level from the single-player campaign.
  • Berlin Wall — The best-known Berlin Wall crossing during the Cold War was known as Checkpoint Charlie. That’s where you’ll do battle.
  • Stadium — Do you believe in miracles? A hockey arena set in the Northeast U.S. that has us thinking Lake Placid and the Olympic Miracle on Ice.

First Strike will launch as an Xbox 360 exclusive on February 1 for 1,200 Microsoft Points or $15. Treyarch and Activision have not yet announced plans for the PlayStation 3 and PC launch.
