Sony used its presence at the Tokyo Game Show to reveal that its promised 3D Blu-ray support for PS3s will arrive earlier than expected. The version 3.5 firmware update adding support will arrive on September 21. All PS3 models already supported 3D gaming with an earlier update.
More features are coming with 3.5, Sony said, although it wouldn’t say more until Monday.
