Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry both appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live this week to promote Perry’s Nobody’s Fool starring Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish. (Watch Below)
With both present, Cohen asked Goldberg about potential sequels to her earlier work, first up asking if we might get a Jumpin’ Jack Flash sequel.
Goldberg responded:
“No, because that’s not the sequel I want to do” and then revealed she wants to do a third “Sister Act” but added that Disney holds the rights and doesn’t want to do it – likely preferring to reboot the property.”
Perry then chimed in to say that he wants to make it with Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish:
“The two of them in Sister Act, that should happen. Let’s make it happen.”
Cohen asked Perry why he doesn’t just try and buy the film’s rights from Disney, with the pair saying that they are going to try but it would be difficult regardless of cost.
