The Division has seen the launch of the Incursions update today, making way for group trading, Falcon Lost and Dark Zone supply drops. The game was taken offline by Ubisoft to make way for the first major patch, the development team will follow the same process in May with the Conflict expansion.

Fans on Xbox One, PS4 and PC can now download the meaty update and start playing the new grueling challenge set in Stuyvesant area which requires level 30.

Players must have also completed the mission “General Assembly” to access Falcon Lost, which takes place mostly underground.

A recent Incursions Q&A with The Division’s game director, Petter Mannerfelt, shed some more light on what to expect from the new content:

Petter Mannerfelt: “In this update we will release content for all players, PvE or PvP, solo or co-op. We will release the first Incursion, Falcon Lost, which is challenging content for advanced groups. Valuable supplies will be dropped in the Dark Zone at random times and locations.

“The first player to reach them will be the first served. Players will also be able to complete daily and weekly assignments for more rewards. Gear sets with unique bonuses and high-end weapons will be accessible to the best agents, and much more.

PM: “Incursions are an endgame PvE group activity. Designed for a team of four, they require preparation, cooperation and skill to succeed. In Falcon Lost, the boss is protected by an army of powerful Last Man Battalion soldiers and deadly military assets.

“As a high-level mission, players will have to find the right strategy to complete an Incursion, and the rewards are well worth the effort.”

Ubisoft has revealed that the new Incursions update 1.1 will weigh in at over 3GB on all platforms, although patch size look set to differ.

Here’s the latest from Ubisoft on the subject: “The servers will shut down for maintenance to deploy update 1.1 on Tuesday, April 12 at 09:00 AM CEST, 03:00 AM EDT, 12:00 AM PDT.

“Estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours. Patch size will range from 4GB to 4.7GB, depending on your platform.”

Ubisoft usually host a Division Special Report livestream on Twitch during the downtime, while those interested in what is set to arrive can read some of the details for update 1.1 below.

The Division DLC will be introduced in two free updates, the second will go live in May and will be followed by official paid-for expansions.
