Squids Odyssey has been slingshot past its 2013 fall release date on the Wii U and 3DS eShop and is re-adjusting itself to target this spring. Odyssey is a turn-based, tactical RPG that lets players fight battles by flinging ocean life into their foes. Antagonists have been mutated by an ooze-like pollutant, but they don’t seem keen on using their powers for good like our half-shelled friends.
Odyssey is a compilation of existing entries Squids and Squids Wild West, but it adds a new campaign, a new Squid hero and reworked controls for the Wii U and 3DS. Players can assemble teams from 15 Squids across four classes to take on Odyssey’s 90+ missions. There are also more than 65 stat-boosting helmets to strap onto Squids, in case you were worried about safety gear for your arsenal of sea-creature bullets.
